# tamr.api.v1alpha1.ExternalIds

Use the External Ids endpoint to map external ids to records in the Tamr RealTime datastore and to manage those mappings.  This allows you to associate a record's id in another tool, such as Salesforce, with the record in the Tamr RealTime datastore.

You can:

* [Get](https://cloud.docs.tamr.com/tamr-cloud/reference/externalids_getexternalid) a specific external id.
* [Delete](https://cloud.docs.tamr.com/tamr-cloud/reference/externalids_deleteexternalid) an external id.
* [Update](https://cloud.docs.tamr.com/tamr-cloud/reference/externalids_updateexternalid) an external id to map it to a different record.
* [List](https://cloud.docs.tamr.com/tamr-cloud/reference/externalids_listexternalids) all external ids mapped to a specific record.
