We recently released support for importing BigQuery or Snowflake views as source datasets, improvements to tasks, as well as other recent improvements and fixed issues.
Import BigQuery or Snowflake Views as Source Datasets
You can import Snowflake or BigQuery views as source datasets in Tamr Cloud. When adding your source, enter the name of your view in the Table field. For Snowflake, you need permissions to the view to do this. See the Snowflake documentation for more detail. For BigQuery, see Introduction to views.
Limited Release Features: Tasks
You can now edit and delete tasks, including being able to delete multiple tasks at a time. Also, you can now associate tasks with a specific data product.
Other Recent Improvements
- The Activity log now tracks manual individual record moves that result from merges.
- Users can now download the data from the Source Dataset Changes and Attribute Completion cards on the Result Summary Insight page.
- Users can now download the data from the Attributes by Provider card on the Enrichment Value Insight page.
- General styling and user experience improvements.
Fixed Issues
- When the user selects records, the Export Sample button will now reference the correct count of selected records that will be exported to CSV.
- User interface was displaying "curator" permissions as "editor" permissions in the data product sharing dropdown.
- Fixed erroneous redirect to the last request made to the server after a user logged back in after a session time out.
- The Provider details section was missing when adding a BigQuery connection.
- Publish output included incorrect table column names instead of user-configured column names.
