Sharing or Downloading an Exported Dataset
You can download, and give others to access to, datasets that are published to cloud storage destinations.
Sharing a Link to an Exported Dataset
You can share links to datasets that have been exported to cloud storage destinations, such as S3, or to the Tamr-provided Managed Destination connection. Shared links are valid for 24 hours. Anyone who has access to the URL can download the data.
To share a link to an exported dataset:
- From the Menu
select Publish.
To select a data product, on the Home page locate the data product and then select More ⁝ > Publish. - Verify that the Publish table includes an export destination using the Managed Destination connection. If that destination is not included in the table, add an export destination using that connection. See Managing Export Destinations for instructions.
- In the Publish table, select Publish
for the destination using the Managed Destination connection.
- When the export is complete, select Copy Link
.
- In the Get Link popup, select Copy for the dataset you want to share. The link is copied to your clipboard. Share the copied link with others as needed.
Downloading an Exported Dataset
If you have permission to export a data product, you can download datasets exported to cloud storage destinations, such as S3, or the Tamr-provided Managed Destination connection. The download option is available for 24 hours after exporting a dataset.
To download an exported dataset:
- From the Menu
select Publish.
To select a data product, on the Home page locate the data product and then select More ⁝ > Publish. - Verify that the Publish table includes an export destination using the Managed Destination connection. If that destination is not included in the table, add an export destination using that connection. See Managing Export Destinations for instructions.
- In the Publish table, select Publish
for the destination using the Managed Destination connection.
- When the export is complete, select Copy Link
.
- In the Get Link popup, select Download
to download the dataset locally.
