We are pleased to announce a new Tamr RealTime API endpoint, data product enhancements, and fixed issues.

New Tamr RealTime API Endpoint Available

A new Tamr RealTime API endpoint is now available for operational use cases, which enables you to quickly search for an existing golden record and then either update an existing record or create a new one.

You can search for a matching record by ID or by field values. If a match is not found, a new golden record is created. If a matching ID or record is found, the new record is merged into the existing record as follows:

  • Existing field values are updated with new values from the merged record.
  • If the merged record contains new fields that are not present in the existing record, those fields are not added to the existing record.

Data Product Improvements

We recently announced an improved data product experience available for B2B Customers, Healthcare Providers, and Contacts data products. These data products provide a streamlined configuration experience that removes the complexity of the step configuration in earlier data product versions, and include new configuration and publishing options.

Additionally, the following enhancements are now available:

  • The B2B Customers and Healthcare Providers data products include a Name Prefix Standardization data quality service, which improves match results by standardizing approximately 300 prefixes, such as Miss, Mister, Doctor, Engineer, and so on, to common abbreviations, such as Ms., Mr., Dr., and Eng.
    When a common abbreviation is found for a record, the prefix value is updated to the abbreviation for matching purposes. The Enhanced Source Records dataset contains the updated values.
  • We have fine-tuned matching in the Healthcare Providers data product to improve clustering results.

Bug Fixes

  • In certain conditions, duplicate sources appeared in the Add Data flow configuration step when attempting to remove a source.
  • In the Help menu, the linked to “What’s New” was broken.
  • Some data product flows became stuck.
