RealTime Data Product Updates
We are pleased to share these improvements to RealTime Data Products:
- Smarter matching for nicknames and first name variations.
- New option to exclude sources in record consolidation rules.
- Enrich healthcare provider records with NPPES attributes.
Smarter Matching for Nicknames and First Name Variations
RealTime B2C Customers, Contacts, and Healthcare Providers data products now consider first name variations, such as nicknames, for over 1,000 first names when identifying matching records.
For example, common variations for Robert include Rob, Robbie, and Bob.
Tamr returns a new MATCH_FIRST_NAME_VARIANT match label in the match details to indicate a matching first name variation between two records.
Important Note: This feature is not included in data products created before September 21. If you are interested in updating an existing data product to consider first name variations, contact Tamr Support ([email protected]).
New Option to Exclude Sources from Golden Record Values
You can now exclude specific sources when setting record consolidation rules to define golden record attribute values in RealTime data products.
In the example below, the Source Priority condition is configured to exclude values from the suppliers_data source for the Company Name attribute.

Enrich Healthcare Provider Records with NPPES Attributes
The National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) is a comprehensive, uniform system for identifying and uniquely enumerating healthcare providers and plans at the national level.
Enable NPPES Provider Lookup enrichment in RealTime Healthcare Providers data products to match your healthcare provider records against the NPPES registry and return each provider's NPI, license, contact, and address attributes. See NPPES Provider Lookup Enrichment Attributes for the full list of attributes provided by this service.
When configuring consolidation rules for your golden record attributes, you can choose to prioritize values returned by this service. See Adding and Running Enrichment in a Data Product for instructions.
Curator Hub: Clean Up Queue Items for Deleted Records
In Curator Hub, suggested duplicate and suggested edit queue items become invalid if one or more of the records associated with the queue items are deleted.
Using the new Clean Up Queue option, data product admins and developers can now dismiss these invalid items in bulk.

Coming Soon! Webhook Filtering and Duplicate Handling
We're excited to announce two powerful features coming in the next few weeks.
Filter Webhook Record and Curation Events by Data Product or Table
You'll soon be able to configure your webhooks to receive record and curation events from only selected data products or tables.
You'll receive events only from the data products or tables you are interested in monitoring - reducing the number of events you receive and removing the need to filter these events downstream.
Fully Control How Tamr Handles Possible Duplicates
In the next few weeks, we'll be releasing a new Duplicate Handling page in RealTime data product configuration.
This page will allow you to:
- Choose the default merge behavior for your data product and decide how to handle suggested duplicate records based on match confidence levels: merge them automatically, send them to a curation queue for review, or ignore them.
- Create multiple suggested duplicate queues to apply different duplicate handling rules to different kinds of records.
- Route suggested duplicates to specific curation queues based on attribute values (for example, send high priority accounts or records from a specific region to separate queues).
- Automatically dismiss stale queue items to help curators focus only on relevant items.
Bug Fixes and Other Improvements
- Resolved these issues:
- The count of curation items in Curator Hub landing pages was not updated as queue items were resolved.
- AWS S3 sources failed to upload when multiple sources shared the same location and the filename was not specified in the source configuration.
- In batch data products created using the Save As feature, copied "File Download" publish configurations could be generated but not downloaded.
- Added general usability, styling, and performance improvements.
