Editing Mastered Entity Attribute Values
You can override attribute values. You can also change or remove an attribute override.
You can override Tamr Cloud-computed entity attribute values for the data products to which you have access. When overriding an attribute value, you can enter a manual value or select a value from one of the entity's source records. You can also select an enhanced source record value, which has been standardized and enhanced using the data quality services provided in the data product.
Note: Enhanced source record values are not available for legacy data products .
Tamr Cloud automatically updates mastered entity data with the override value. Overrides persist when the mastering flow is re-run. The override value is also included in exported data.
As a best practice, when you override any attribute values of a record, Tamr recommends you also verify the record as belonging to its correct cluster.
To override attribute values:
- Open the data product.
- On the Entities tab, select the row for the entity to update.
You can sort and filter the table to find specific entities. - In the Attribute Overrides page, select in the Override column for the attribute value to update.
- Select the appropriate source record or null value from the dropdown or enter a new value.
- Save the change.
The new value is listed in the field's Override column. The attribute row also includes the user who created the override, the modification date, and the source dataset for the override value. If the override value was entered manually and is not from a source dataset, the Source of Override value is a dash (--).
To change or remove attribute overrides:
- Open the data product.
- On the Entities tab, select the row for the entity to update.
