Managing a Data Product
From the home page, you can:
- Add a new data product
- Update a data product's name and description, and the name of the entities.
- Delete a data product.
- Save a copy of a data product.
Adding a Data Product
To add a data product:
- Select Add Data Product.
- Choose the type of data product you want to create and then select Next.
- Enter a name and optional description. Names must be unique.
- If needed, update the singular and plural name for the entities in the data product. These values are used to refer to the data product entities throughout the UI. You can change these to better reflect the data you are mastering.
For example, the default values for the entities name in a B2B Customers data product are Customer and Customers. You could update them to "Supplier" and "Suppliers" or "Provider" and "Providers".

If you rename a data product, the original name is used for published outputs.
To edit a data product:
- On the home page, locate the data product and select More ⁝ > Edit.
- Modify the settings as needed.
- Select Save.
Deleting a Data Product

Saving a Copy of a Data Product
You can save a copy of a data product. Saving a copy is particularly useful if you want to create a new version for testing purposes, or to promote a data product to a production version. (See Managing Data Product Lifecycle.)
When you save a copy of a data product, all sources, metadata, and configuration settings are included in the copy.
Tamr IDs are NOT copied to the new data product.
Copied settings include:
- Configured entity names
- Source datasets
- Custom schema attributes in the schema
- Schema mapping
- Consolidation rules and uniformity score configuration
- Clustering rules
- Enrichment provider selections
- Data cleaning values (if enabled for your data product)
To save a copy of a data product:
- On the home page, locate the data product, then select More ⁝ > Save As.
- In the Save Data Product As dialog, provide a new name and optional description for the data product.
- Select Save.
You can immediately run the data product, or update the configuration as needed.
