Managing Data Product Permissions
From the data product tile on the Data Products page, all users with permission to access the data product can open a read-only view of the Manage Permissions page. On this page, you can see who has access to a data product and their data product role.
Viewing Data Product Permissions
To view data product access:. On the Data Products page, locate the data product and select More ⁝ > Share. The Manage Permissions page opens, in which you can see which users and user groups have access to the data product and their role in the data product.
Sharing a Data Product
If you are an admin for the data product, you can share the data product with other users or user groups and assign data product roles.
To share the data product with users:
- On the Data Products page, locate the data product and select More ⁝ > Share.
- In the Manage Permissions page, select the user or group from the User or Group dropdown menu, select their data product role, and select Grant.
- To assign the user or group an additional role (for example, both developer and curator roles), repeat step 2 and choose the additional role.

Changing a User's Data Product Roles
If you are an admin for the data product, you change the data product roles assigned to a user or group.
Important: To restrict the inherited permissions in a specific data product for a tenant-level admin, editor, or viewer, you must first change the user or user group role at the tenant level, and then assign the appropriate role in each data product. Non-editable inherited roles are identified with gray check marks in the table.
To change a user's data product roles:
- On the Data Products page, locate the data product and select More ⁝ > Share. The Manage Permissions page opens.
- To add additional roles for the user or group, select the user or group from the User or Group dropdown menu, select their data product role, and select Grant.
- To remove a role from the user or group, move your mouse over the blue checkmark for the user's or group's role in the table. When the blue check becomes a red X, select the X to remove the role.
