Sharing a Source

You can share a previously added source and change permissions to allow other users to use the source in a mastering flow.

Share a source to allow other users to use the source as input in a mastering flow.

When you share a source, you select the level of permissions that user will have for that source. See User Roles and Permissions for more information.

To share a source:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Sources.
  2. In the Sources table, select More more vertical icon > Share for the source.
  3. Select the user with which to share the source and their permissions for the connection.
    • Editor - allows the user to edit source settings, refresh sources, and use the source.
    • Viewer - allows the user to use the source.
      Note: Admin users and users whose accounts have been disabled do not appear in the list of users; admins have full access to all sources.
  4. Select Share.

important Important: Sharing a source with a user also shares its connection with viewer permissions.

Changing Permissions for a Source

To change a user's permissions for a source:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Sources.
  2. In the Sources table, select More more vertical icon > Share for the source.
    The Share dialog opens. The dialog lists the users with whom the connection is shared.
  3. Change the permission levels for users as needed, or select Delete trash icon to remove a user's permissions.
  4. Select Save.

important Important: Sharing a source with a user also shares its connection with viewer permissions.
