Nursing Home Attributes

The following attributes are provided by Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) enrichment for nursing home facilities. See the CMS Provider Data Catalog for more details for these attributes.

By default, each attribute is prefaced with cms_nursing_homes_result_ when included in publish and curation views.

CMS Nursing Homes Attribute
match_result_tamr_enrich_id	The organization id (`org_id` ) of the matching CMS reference record.
match_result_match_confidence	The level of confidence with which Tamr matched this CMS reference record: Very high, high, medium, or low.
match_result_match_drivers	The attributes on which the record matched or partially matched to the CMS reference record.
certification_number_ccn	CMS certification number (CCN) used to identify the provider.
provider_name	Name of the provider.
provider_address	First line of the provider's address.
city_town	City or town of the provider's address.
state	Two-character state code of the provider's address.
zip_code	Zip code of the provider's address.
telephone_number	Provider's telephone number.
provider_ssa_county_code	Provider's SAA county code.
county_parish	County or parish of the provider's address.
ownership_type	Nature of the organization that operates a provider of service.
number_of_certified_beds	Number of federally certified beds.
average_number_of_residents_per_day	Average number of residents based on MDS daily census.
average_number_of_residents_per_day_footnote	Footnote for Resident Census value.
provider_type	Category which is most indicative of provider.
provider_resides_in_hospital	Whether the facility resides in a hospital.
legal_business_name	Legal business name of the facility.
date_first_approved_to_provide_medicare_and_medicaid_services	Date the facility was first approved to provide Medicare/Medicaid services.
affiliated_entity_name	Unique name identifying a group of nursing homes that share at least one individual or organizational owner, officer, or entity with operational/managerial control.
affiliated_entity_id	Unique numeric identifier assigned to each affiliated entity.
continuing_care_retirement_community	Whether facility is a continuing care retirement community.
special_focus_status	Special focus status (SFF, SFF Candidate, or null if provider is not SFF or Candidate).
abuse_icon	Whether the facility was cited for abuse or neglect at harm level or above on survey cycle 1 (Scope/severity G or greater) or cited for abuse or neglect at potential harm level( Scope/Severity D or above) on both survey cycles 1 and 2.
most_recent_health_inspection_more_than_2_years_ago	Whether the most recent health inspection survey occurred more than 2 years ago.
provider_changed_ownership_in_last_12_months	Whether the facility changed ownership in the last 12 months.
with_a_resident_and_family_council	With a Resident and Family Council (Resident, Family, Both, None).
automatic_sprinkler_systems_in_all_required_areas	Automatic sprinkler systems in all required areas (Yes, Partial, No, Data Not Available).
overall_rating	Overall rating (1-5).
